Guys,
I spend alot of time on this forum as i'm sure many of you do. I felt this morning as i opened it that if 3 of the top six topics were dealing with scantilly clad women that maybe we are heading in the wrong direction. I for one am married and invite my wife to view anything that i look at so she knows I respect her. I will feel compelled to leave if this doesn't stop or dominate discussions. What say yee!!!

This place is a collection of friends, isn't it? When you get together with friends do you talk only about motorcycles or do you talk about other things as well? Because when I gather with 3D friends we talk about bikes, guns, games, gals, gubmint... it's all open for discussion and ogling. Maybe more warning in topics would help some embers when there will be scantily clad women would help. Then again, maybe some of those people just like to complain. |

I would say that if your wife becomes so "offended" by you merely looking at a picture of a scantily clad woman, (drooling is another story) then there are some serious and deeply rooted trust issues in your marriage. I would also say that you don't have to open any of the posts that you are "offended" about. Could you be confusing the act of admiring a beautiful woman with the act of lusting for one ? There is a difference, like I said looking and drooling are two different things. My wife has NO problem with me admiring a beautiful woman and has even been known to them point out to me once in awhile. She knows that I love her and she understands that this OLD DOG ain't about to stray. |

I have to say this is one of the weirdest posts I've ever seen! I have a number of opinions about it but am going to keep all but a couple to myself.
Considering the way you worded your complaint you're also going need to never watch television. The post I made with the babe in the video is a television commercial for Hardee's. I didn't just dig up porn from the web and post it. It's shown nationwide on TV!
The one I posted with the braless "foxes" was a link to an article from a television station. The girls were outside on the street in the public in plain view. I didn't dig them up from some web porn site. The weren't showing any nudity. That part was in your imagination.
Both of my posts had very clearly labeled topic headers so even a 6 year old could figure out what it was before clicking it.
I looked at your profile. You may prefer religious web sites. This is a motorcycle forum. There's been scantily clad girls' pictures posted here since forever. There's also a tech side of this forum that never has any of that so there's no reason at all for you to even stop at the General board if you don't like it.
I can't imagine what you expect your post (complaint) to accomplish. More than likely nothing's going to change here. I don't have time right now to elaborate any more than this. But I'll say that, in my opinion, you really have a problem!

Unfortunately if you use that logic then you shouldn't even be on the Internet. You can choose like Scott said what you want to ignore. Just like the Internet  . I would say I would invite your wife to look just tell her that this is biker site and as such know that there will be some stuff she will have to not click on. But if you leave I think it would do both the board and yourself a injustice. Jesus ate with prostitutes and sinners/tax collectors Im sure that it was not to His liking either but the people were more valuable than not being there because of sin. I think the people on this board are some of the most creative, diverse, intelligent people I know and as such I also say the people are more important than the sin. Of course there are always exceptions |

I have been hangin around this board fro about 10 years.. during the PMS..parked motorcycle syndrome..months it has been like this.. for those of us who are experiencing PMS.. WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO?? I would also like to say that yes you may get a few old cojers to jump on your bandwagon here but I guarantee you you wont prevail...I certainly dont wanna see you leave .. i would also suggest if this forum isnt suitable maybe you can find s christian motorcycle forum to visit where there isnt this type of "fun" going on.. Yeah, me too!! What a disappointment!! I vote for "Keep them coming" and if you don't want to view, don't click. And if the title is misleading, get out as soon as you find out. Every other M/C forum I'm on has these kinds of posts. (the pictures, not the complaints) Just a suggestion... Maybe add more sections. We have "General" and "Tech" why not have "Political" and "NSFW" or "Playground" for these kind of pictures/posts? That way you're less likely to click on something you're offended with. Like I said, just a suggestion. |

@ Kingsman, I think you stepped into this the wrong way. There are many post out here that I give a rats a$$ about, the title may be interesting and make me look (as yours did and Daniel pointed out, where's the Pic's?) but if I do not like what is being spued in the post, I dont read it, but comming here trying to tell this group of desperatly needing to ride adolescents, that they cannot play, you my friend have balls and are getting a ear full for it.
Willow and Scott always make sure that we do not get out of hand, and we try, but they do an excellent job of ruling this kindergarten, and therefore nothing that I have seen is offensive, and as for the wife, hell, she'll look closer than I do and point out the finer points of a woman. So I hate to say if this is too offensive of a forum or topic you will have to find greener pastures.

viewing and reading post/threads is optional. i think a lot of folks exercise that right quite often. setting the tone of what your interested in by making your own posts is probably a reasonable approach to addressing your concerns. if enough people are interested i'm sure there will be a lot of response. just my two cents.

Too many of you are trying to use the common sense approach by using ones own self control and not opening certain posts. This is not enough for folks like this. These are the folks that intentionally monitor what they claim to detest, then complain about it. This is nothing new. Rush Limbaugh and FOX haters monitor them and then report the horrors they just heard. They did this to Howard Stern for years and years. His haters listened longer than his fans. Why?...They wanted to hear what he was going to say next.
Unfortunately, these folks eventually get their way by way of banning certain posts or types of posts, bowing the .1% in hopes to not offend ones delicate eyes....ON A MOTORCYCLE BOARD.

I have to second, third and fourth most of what others have posted ... this is a grown up biker forum... not kindergarten and not a religious site. Therefore, it would be unreasonable to expect everything to be all purity and light. Besides that would be just mind numbingly boring. Maybe your wife would feel better if some of the gals on here posted some "beefcake" photos.... you know, equal billing and all. I just hope any posts like that have ample warning... pictures of some fat dude on a Harley sporting a weiny sling might make me lose my breakfast.  |
