I took a little ride today to meet with Grumpy and Flask at Bayport Inn, also known as BABEPORT INN. http://www.bayportinnrestaurant.com/ My blackened Fish sandwich with Buffalo sauce was real good. Lot's of Harley's, we did see several Valkyries. Ran into a new Valkyrie owner by the name of Jim. He's not been on the board but has heard of it. I'm sending him the link with some other Valkyrie Information he requested, Please welcome him if he checks in. This is his red & black Tourer The ride was hot and straight. I rode pretty much direct up and back, no back roads. If you look real hard you can see a slight bend in the road, that was fun. I had to stop for this shot, Florida Cyprus. As I was crossing the Bayside Bridge which stretches across the North end of Tampa Bay I spotted this old Coast Guard Albatrose. I had to stop and get a photo, I served in the U.S. Coast Guard Aviation for 13 years. Pretty cool to see this again

If you are riding and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

I not only love this picture because of the beautiful Valkyrie, live oaks and cypress trees but also because of the spanish moss. For those that don't know spanish moss lives in the shade of the trees and hangs from their branches. It is an air plant that doesn't do much harm to the tree. It all but disappeared from Florida trees for quite a few years but has made a dramatic comeback as can be seen in the photo. To me it says "Ah, Florida!"

My bags are Tsukayu Strong bags. They work fine. If I had it to do again I'd probably go with the jumbo bags. The quality and paint are good. .

Sorry I missed it Doug. Work again. Been out that way many, many times while I lived in Hernando County. We threw Mom & Dad their 25th wedding anniversary party at the Bayport Inn back in '78. I'm going to try & take one of the next 2 Saturdays off to make it to BikeWeek. I'm really needing some Valkyrie therapy! Here's a couple pics from the same area. The road out to Pine Island. It's the turn off road that you have the Valks backed up to in the pics. Kim on her Shadow in the rear view mirror. At the end of that road is McKethan Park. After I get things in order at my new job I'll be able to get more riding in like I used to. Meanwhile I'll just have to be content looking at your ride pics!

Tundra, Great report Tundra. I had thought about going, but had company coming Saturday. Seems to happen a lot in February through April when you live in Florida and have friends up North. As for the gathering at Duff's, I plan to be there and finally bring my better half to meet up with some of the group that shows up. Also, a friend of mine from MA (he and I used to flog dirt bikes through the woods in the '70s and '80s) is down for the winter with his Valk, and I'm bringing him along as well. Hope we have a good turn-out. Thanks again for the report. Wish I'd have made it!

Well now, your bike is looking good, good, good. Those straight roads in Florida are something I will never miss, or the humidity. Spent 5 years done there and never did get used to it. Come to think of it I don't miss the hurricanes either. Thanks for sharing...
