Doc, some know him as the Wing Doctor from outside of Tampa.  Doc (Doc7402) with his daughter Nicky on board went down pretty hard Sunday. Both are at Tampa General. I'm told Nicky is in good shape with a bit of rash and a big bruise to one side of her face. Doc took a pretty good hit to the back of the head, both will be getting cat scans. Doc was headed to surgery about 6:30pm to have his spleen removed. I'll post more as I hear it.

They believe he had a tire go down and caused him to hit a center divider and flip the bike.
He rides a custom Valkyrie tourer.

Please keep them in your prayers.

Prayers from Pearland.  Prayers for the biker's family who lost his life on hwy 288 here in Houston.  Rode by this accident.  Horrible.  Was on the side of the road looking at some problem with his bike and was hit by a car an died at the scene.

It is bad, we had 3 riders in the Tampa area killed this weekend in separate accidents, have to be real careful.

Well you can live without a spleen!

He's already lucky because it sounds like she's gonna be fine. The worst feeling I could imagine would be living through a wreck but losing one of my kids in it, whether I was at fault or not. Best of wishes to both of them.

That is his, he lives on 301 near Mackintosh rd. Nice bike, but I hear it has a lot of damage now.

That's something that always worried me when my wife or daughter rode with me. I honestly don't know how I could go on.

I hadn't seen any news items about 3 fatalities in FL. I guess it's because I've gotten old, but every time I read about crashes on here I start thinking about giving it up. I've had a couple of hospital stays in recent years and didn't really like it.

That is a shame. Hope Doc comes out of it alright.  Glad his daughter is ok.  The bike can be fixed or replaced.
Be careful folks, and give the bike a once over before every ride.
