I am looking to buy some headsets for me and my wife. Does anyone have any experience with either Scala G4 or Sena SMH10?

I have the scala Q2 pro and like it. Keep in mind the stereo sound quality is not like good ole head phones but I find them adequate. They sound fine with my MP3 player. FM reception is so so. Rider to passenger is good. Look for them on line and you can save some money.

I have the Sena SMH10. While it has great sound the software doesn't impress me much. It will bluetooth to my ipod, but it keeps dropping my cell phone. Suppose to do pretty good from rider to rider, but only have the one unit. With any headset placement of the helmet speakers is a bit tricky. Once you find the sweet spot it sounds good.

I have the Scala G4, works well, although I do carry the instructions because it can be a pain to get hooked up with the older sets. Hard to remember what and when to press what.
Phone works very good, I have taken calls from work and when I told them I was riding, no one believed me. It's very clear.
I would buy again

sold our Q2 set to get the G4 powerset.....definitely a positive upgrade.

G4=Longer range, stereo instead of mono, easier to program FM, can link to up to 4 headsets (backwards compatible), and headset software can be updated through the power cable and your computer.  Look around there are good price deals...our new G4s cost less than $350 delivered

My wife and I have the Sena sets on our Arai helmets. Wanted them for our road trip last October, and they have been great. 2700 miles over 8 days, and no issues with them...IPhone works great on calls and for music, and the helmet to helmet communications were very good. Batteries were never an issue with 8+ hour a day rides. Very reccomended...
