My parents had an album when I was a kid with a song I loved. I think it was by the "Sons of the Pioneers," but I'm not certain. Some of the lyrics were:
Ca ca cia yia, ca ca cia yia, got sand in my brain.
Ca ca cia yia, ca ca cia yia, tequila in my veins.
Got bones made of cactus, a tough leather hide
Just a plain old plainsman with no place to ride.

Anybody know it. Better yet, post a youtube link.

I've looked for an hour trying every thing I could to find your songs going through old lyrics, the only hit I got was from Hank or Gene Snow, I forget which one it was.  Some of the words matched but it talked about a pinto horse.  Is this the one??

Yeah, I've looked for it, on and off, for years. I don't remember the pinto horse, but then I don't remember most of the song. I think it starts out with:
My father was English, my mother was Dutch,
With French German Irish thrown in for the touch.
But our here in Texas where I wonder and roam, (echo wonder and roam)
I'm a plain old plainsman who ain't got no home.
I think that is the first verse and the line I posted earlier was the chorus.

I've thus far been unable to find a digital version of the song, but...

Any chance the song is "Plain Old Plainsman" from the Terry Gilkyson And the Easy Riders album "Remember the Alamo?

Take a look at the album cover, and the other songs on that album and see if it rings a bell? If so there's a copy of the album on eBay, but it's nearly $40, and you'd need a turntable to play (And convert, I hope!) it...

Edit - Forgot to add the link!
