"Five-year veteran firefighter Matthew Guenther won the award for firefighter of the year. In January 2011, Guenther responded with other rescue team members help a Little Rock police officer having a seizure. Guenther recognized that the officer had no pulse and had gone into cardiac arrest. After administering CPR as well as two cycles with a defibrillator, he helped stabilize the officer."
