My 15 year old daughter has come down with cyclitis. Possibly an incurable form. The other day when the temps reached 55 for the first time this year, she had the itch to get out her scooter. she got it started all by herself, dragged it out onto the driveway, put on her helmet and took off for the first ride of the year. She later came back with a shopping list of things for me to fix. first was the head light didn't come on, the turn signal doesn't "beep", and the gas gage is leaning to the left by the letter "E".

It's my understanding that "more cowbell" will occasionally chase it away.

Alph, you'll find that gas gauge issue is directly caused by the vehicle operator. When she gets a car the same problem will exist. Having 2 daughters and no sons, I cannot give scientific proof that it the problem exists only with the female of the species. I do think they (the young ladies) have an special effect on the "Dad" of the species. All mine had to do was make a wistful smile and a hug and I was there to move the gauge above the E. The big "thank you Daddy" was payment enough!

Well, I'd get busy. BTW, When my daughter became of dating age, I put my arm around the lad's shoulders. I whispered into his ear softly," I know she's safe with you. Because anything you do to her, I'm gonna do to you." The poor kid went white and that ws the last time I saw him. Done it every time since and now she's with a guy I like.

"and the gas gage is leaning to the left by the letter "E".
Reminds me when I started driving, Daddy said "Keep a close eye on the oil, but don't worry about the gas, it'll take care of itself" And it did a few times!
