I've owned my ol girl for almost three years now. I had a CT put on right about 10,000 miles ago by my mechanic, and although he does not let people watch, he told me my rear end was fine (keep the jokes to a minimum please).

I somewhat trust him but..........I sure would like to learn the who, what, where, when, and whys to it. I'm pretty sure she needs new shoes as well.

What I'm looking for is a teacher- I'll gladly take a road trip. So is there someone out there with some time & knowledge that would like a new friend? I know that there must be so thanks in advance-

Be glad to walk you through it, but I am quite a ways off. Looks like about 180 to 190 miles.
Hope some one closer will chime in.

I'm not enough of a mechanic to be of much help.  But if a  "wrench party" starts to organize, I would try and attend.

AGREED- but in the mean time I don't, and have not been happy with the one's I've spoken with in regard to working on my baby. Besides this is something that I think I need to know as I plan on keeping her for the long haul-

I'm not too busy next Sat. Come on over. It's only 2300 miles. Nice ride on a Valk.

As tempting as it would be to make a OK, AZ road trip, I'll think I'll pass this one time, but thanks for the offers- everyone.

I'll be in touch real soon-

Tech Board to get the know how.

Then get started yourself and if problems arise get them answered before proceding.

If you get a chance to take Grumpy up on his offer, you will not regret the choice.  He is much closer than I am, but would be glad to help you if I can.

Hey Slick,

I was in touch with Grumpy about that very same thing not long ago... I'm just south of you in Wellington. Maybe we could get together one morning early and take a ride across the state and get Grumpy to walk us through it. The final drive PM seems to be pretty important and worth learning to do.

Any time, just let me know a few days in advance. Tues & Thursdays I am gone mornings, but any other days will work.

I'm in Sarasota.  Please keep me "in the loop."  If nothing else, I might like to just watch over your shoulders while you guys do the service.
