Are you really that stupid or do you just play an idiot on the VRCC BBS? I actually thought you had some intelligence but were politically intolerant. Just lost all respect for you.

You boys are a piece of work! I ask one guy how it is he posts asinine remarks that 'heads are going to explode' because of a news story and you jump right on the wagon... you know... the one loaded with folks that don't actually know what they are talking about but would never admit it.
The OP is right... heads are exploding... but not amongst the tree huggers... it's right here on this BBS.

It really does appear that you are mentally challenged, rubber ducky. I have noticed you tend to inflame with your posts, rather than offer intelligent discourse. Do you not have any friends in Singapore to spend time with rather than waste time here?

Let me see if I can explain the irony to you. Greenies=Liberals. Greenies support restrictive laws to accomplish what they want, quite often with bad unintended consequences. Although not a good thing that one species of endangered bird is preying upon another sometimes shiite happens. When liberal hysteria sets in quite often the things they do or want to do are not well thought out {see example given}. Hence the irony seen by some. How this relates to our conservative views is....take for instance the Obama/Pelosi so called "stimulus package". Passed after MUCH hysteria decrying the evil Bush bunch, some of us are quite sure due to examples of liberal think such as the one posted by 2tone the "stimulus package" will have a similar bad result. Understand??? Please stop reacting & start thinking ahead a bit. We conservatives do & it's enlightening!

So, boys... as your heads explode... and come out with incredibly clever witticisms... Weak Chicken... amazing... where did you ever find such a wonderfully rhetorical piece of allegory... you miss the big picture... you might as well be crossing the freeway only to be smacked down by a big Mack truck.
Reality? 2tone seems to have his panties in a giant wad that people actually care about the environment. He reminds me of the guy who upon hearing about efforts to protect the polar bear asked, "What has the polar bear ever done to protect humans?"
Do you people read at all? Do you have any respect for the environment at all? Attitudes like those of Mr. 2tone are a joke: Humans control the world and the fate of every last species in it, including ourselves... and the best this gent can do is regurgitate some nonsense about 'tree huggers' and you sheep jump in right behind. Baaaaa!
You go girls... put on them blinders... and be thankful that others actually care enough about the world you are leaving your children and grandchildren... but wait... maybe I am wrong... maybe you have never reproduced, in which case your selfish self really wouldn't care, would you?

I am now convinced that rubber ducky is seriously mentally challanged. To take the opposite viewpoint of almost every comment made by others is only agumentative at best and offers no opportunity for discussion, sharing of knowledge, and growth. Plus, he completely missed the point of the opening post, and still doesn't get it. Good job, ducky. Maybe you could take some on-line courses and broaden your scope.

Sheesh. I thought I did a decent job of being nice while attempting to explain the conservative point of view & then I get called a sheep by a person of the liberal bent. A lefty calling a conservative a sheep............Now THAT'S ironic! Unlike the liberal left & the media would have you believe, true conservatives know the value of the environment. You can go too far with policies you know. Think. Please think but think for yourself. Let go of the left leaning hate you harbor.

Well since you drug me into this, I suggest you think about yourself being part of the loss of the Greater Cormorant. You got me on the wrong side for this issue. I personally believe there are way too many people on the planet and YOU should help the Eagles and Cormorants out and return some of their lost habitat to them so the Eagles won't need to feed on the cormorants. You could also give the Cormorants back some area to live on which is the real reason the are going extinct. We took their space not the Eagles. By giving I mean donate to some club that will secure the land for the future of the species. Oh yea, I am a tree hugger. Not some extreme fanatic but I have, in the past, been a dues paying member to the Sierra Club, the National Wildlife Federation, the Audubon Society, National Crane Foundation and a few others in support of more for wildlife. Did I stick a burr in your ass somehow? Oh he;;, piss on it. Raymond

Thanks for the information 2tone. Was watching John Stasoul (however you spell it) the other night about endangered species. He had a guest that espoused we eat endangered species of animals. Makes sense. If there is any profit in that animal, then people would farm them just like beef, chickens, goats, etc. A prime example is the American Bison (or known to the lessor educated of us, buffalo) We all know their story, now you can buy buffalo meat at specialty meat markets or order it at some restaurants. There are some places that raise tigers for their meat and bone for use in eastern diets. But, some whacko tree hugin animal loving freak that was on the show wants to stop these efforts because it is inhumane to the animals. Well, yes, man is responsible for their demise, but with a profit to be made lots of these species nearing extinction can be brought back but not if left to the extremist. He pointed out the rest of the world doesn't hold the same views the tree-huggers hold about nature. Some people kill an animal just for certain body parts and are driving them to extinction but the tree-huggers protest the farming of these animals. Buffalo farm near my home in SE Alabama. Makes some mighty fine steak. Can also be very agressive. The guy that owns this farm was expecting delivery of a bull from another buffalo farmer. When he didn't show, he called the guys wife. She was a wreck. While loading the bull, he turned on the farmer and gored him to death with his son witnessing the ordeal.

Ok here is the whole enchilada. Here goes. No, no burr under my saddle Raymond. Apparently I made a failed attempt at levity. Did not mean to ruffle your feathers however. Second, the tree huggers,( ie. conservationists, people who NAIL platforms in the limbs of trees they are trying to save by living in them, people who lie down in front of bulldozers ) have an ironic situation. One endangered species is feeding on another endangered species. So the delima is mindboggling. So, what are they gonna do, go out and start killing Eagles???? Or move the commerants (?) to another habitat which will not work and will take them over the brink faster?????? Or are we gonna go out and announce over loud speakers to the Eagles "Stop eating other birds" or should we start writing writs to cease and desist orders and deliver them to the Eagle's court appointed attorney???? In the immortal words of Ted Nugent, Animals dont think the way people think. They spend their time looking for something to eat, something to screw, and a place to sleep. So Raymond you did hit it on the head slightly. I am all for extra wilderness areas. I dont however send in moneys to "societies" where 75% of money collected is used for "administrative purposes". These people are as much the problem as those they try to oppose. Also these 'societies' are full of people full of themselves as well. They nail a platform in a tree to save it from the horrible 'developers'. Of course the developers are building over across the way. The 'tree surgeon' called in says she is doing more harm to the 200 yr old tree with her presents and nails than the developer she is trying to keep out. She lives a year in the tree, except for thunderstorms of course (we wouldnt want her to get hit by lightening would we???), and then writes her book. So it's more about her than the tree she is supposed to be the 'advocate' for. Now she is revelling in her self importance of travelling the book and talk show circuit. C'mon. No Irony yet?????? Third, case in point. Take for instance, the Hawaiian Ne Ne bird (state bird) is almost extinct (50 pairs left)because cats and rats from white trader ships came ashore and feed on them, their chicks and eggs. MAN in his infinite wisdom decides to bring mongooses to combat the cats and rats. However cats and rats are nocturnal creatures and mongooses are day creatures. So now the mongooses feed on the Ne Ne eggs. ADDING to the problem. Please dont take my word for it, google it. Oh yeah, only one island in the whole chain does not have mongooses. Its either Kauai or Maui. The king kicked the cages with the mongooses off the pier into the ocean. He thought the mongooses were ugly creatures. They drown. Ironic aint it???? MAN gets too full of himself. Have you never seen that when MAN THINKS he solves ONE problem he INVENTS 10 to take its place?????? MAN in his infinite wisdom cannot FIX everything. Is ANYONE seeing the irony here yet???? The world temp goes up and down. It was called an Ice Age for a reason. The world is constantly changing. So global warming or cooling is going to be an ongoing CONSTANT change with or without MAN. Animal species are going to die out with or without MAN. Just so you know, MAN IS the reason for many extinct species but not EVERY ONE. And I hate to see any of god's creatures big or small go into oblivion. So the point of this post was just that. What are those who look upon themselves as the 'savior of the world" gonna do???? cursed if you do and cursed if you dont, pretty much says it all huh????? There in lies the irony.
Ride safe and ride often Robert

I saw the irony right away Robert. But since I did I guess in a liberal's mind I'm a bad guy. Go figure! Raymond makes my point about conservatives also being "green". Green.....I hate that term! Conservativism is basically just common sense applied, something SORELY lacking from today's liberals....along with tolerence for others points of view.

I really wanted to avoid this thread, but I gotta say one thing. I Would agree that liberals lack common sense sometimes, but I would say conservatives equally lack common sense. It seems to me that it is usually one side taking one extreme and the other side taking the other extreme. I think common sense comes from the middle.
