When doing the nutcage modification do you do both sides and install new bolts from the inside towards the outside. Sorry this is also on the tech board but I was trying to reach more members for a quick answer...
tire lying beside bike at present...Goodyear Assurance triple tread 205/60R/16. Thanks

I don't have an IS, but when I did the nut cage I only did the right
side on my Std. Same tire. Also, on my 98 I had to do the "washer
mod" on the right side, didn't have to on my 03. Another also, I didn't
put the bolts through from inside to out, I just put them through the
"normal" way.....but, like I said, mine's not an IS!

You can do both just to make sure.

I used the same bolt and square nuts in the same way.

The interference is very minimal with the cages in place.
