Yesterday I had the privilage to be given a tour of a section of the Mississipi River east and south of Minneapolis, MN.  The weather here is crazy warm for this time of year with temps 30 degrees above normal.  However, I am not writing this to talk about the weather.  I am here to thank T.P. in front of you, VRCC, for the absolute great time I had on yesterdays ride.

T.P. took me down the eastern side of the Mississippi River making a couple of stops at a pull off and at an overlook in Alma, Wi.  The overlook would only be known by locals.  The view was outstanding being several hundred feet above the river.  There is a lock and power plant within the view as well as the stunning sites of the rivers geography.  I am totally unfamiliar with the natural beauty of the Mississippi in the northern section.  I am more familiar with the southern zone.  Our return trip was on the western side of the river riding thru Red Wing and other small towns.  We stopped for dinner in one of the many local small restaurants.  KINGS was the name of the restaurant and the food was way better than avg.

T.P. knows this area very well having lived in this area forever.  He made me want to spend time here in the future just do discover the area on a motorcycle.

I had a great time riding with T.P.  He rode his beautiful Jade Green Tourer, and I on my Black Standard.  Our chrome was lighting the highway on the return leg.

Thank You T.P.  Hopefully we can ride again before I have to go on to my next job location.
