My "NEW" 1999 Valk Interstate.

Hi Folks. I'm NEW to the forum. I just bought my 1st Valk. A 1999 black Interstate. My first purchase for this beauty will be a DRIVER'S back rest for my factory 1 piece seat. I found the "Utopia"website that offers one for $179. They show detailed pics./instructions on how to cut a slit in the seat (ouch) so you can attach the upper bar to the T-bar under the seat. Has anyone tried this product? Your thoughts? Other options? PLEASE E-mail me at standcool@yahoo.com with your response. TANKS!!

I sold my beloved Honda VTX so I could get a TOURING bike to allow my wife to be more comfortable on long trips. Can't afford; nor do I subscribe to the Harley "hype". Wanted to stay with Honda quality. And as I'm still young enough to want a "COOL" looking tourer; the Valk Interstate is for me.

I have had the Utopia for several years and highly recommend it.......

I have mount for my I/S seat... like yours and another to use on my solo seat... the extra mount was $50.......

dont worry about cutting your seat, do it like the instructions and you will be a very happy camper..i was...

I've seen hundreds of Valks over the years with the Utopia backrest my friend and ridin' bud Lucky 13 has one on his Interstate.
