you were SOOOOO happy to be done with a project??!!......

I've been working on this for the last week....well, not everyday, but a good chunk of the week......it's the first time I've built a stacked block wall....I have built plenty of crosstie walls in the last 25 years.....this is a little more tedious.....We still have to add some soil in it since it's a small planting bed.....and then there are 9 trees and lots of shrubs to plant in the area around this.......after I put a walk way in front of the planter.....

Just happy to be done with this project......300 blocks at 80-100lbs/each......= a LOT of sore muscles!!.... cooldude Cheesy Grin

we had technical difficulties....bought a $100 worth of the "good" construction adhesive at Lowe's,  and it was so tacky,  it wouldn't come out of the tubes even after heating it up..... tickedoff tickedoff tickedoff tickedoff.....had to go buy some different stuff at a local hardware store this morning....

.....and about half way through the project, I had to "fire" one of my Inmates.....and then the other one got to go home.....and I only have one of the two Groundskeepers on my crew that I'm supposed to have......we start interviewing them sometime in the next couple of weeks.....

But it turned out level and the Boss and her Boss like it and all the people in that building like it, so I guess it was worth it.....it's EASY to sit at a desk and say....."Make it happen"......I put the "rubber to the road" and the buck stops with me....... cooldude

And my experience tells that the guy at the desk makes more $ than the guy busting his ass doing the actual work.
Not sure what universe that makes any sense in.

The wall looks nice though. Good job.
