This is on the car my wife drives to work . Can I plug this safely ? Tires are in decent shape and I'd like to keep all ( 4 ) on the car until I replace them all around fall of this year.

They usually say no plugs in a sidewall (and won't even do it).  Maybe an inside patch?

Just me Joe, but I wouldn't. Tires flex pretty good on that area. I had to do the same thing on my wife's also. If it hadn't been for the grand kids riding with her I would have upped the insurance Evil

Yes!  An inside the tire patch will be the only possible fix for that nail puncture.

A plug will lead to ply separation in that situation.

Hey Joe, get to know your salvage yard people.

We buy tires like yours everydua for $10.
Then take it to the tire guy and he mounts it for $5,
if we give him the old tire.  Otherwise he has a $15, land fill charge.

Few years ago you could buy them around here for $10.00 however with so many folks struggling to keep food on the table and gas in the car they can't drop $500/$600.00 on a new set of tire's that whole supply and demand comes into play. I just paid right at $800.00 for tires on my 4X4  pick-up ( 31 x 10.50 x 15 ) when I bought this truck I could get new tires for around $500.00. I can't bitch with the $30.00 tire I bought today it's about 75% thread and no plugs.
