Thank You VRCC Tech Board

My Dan Marc fuel valve came in this week and I planned on de-smogging with the Red Eye Shiny kit at the same time I installed the Dan Marc. I say 'I was' because the weather is so nice and the rear wheel and tail light stuff took way longer than I originally planned.
I checked the rear spline for grease and it's in perfect condition. I used the lift and lower routine after removing the shocks to remove the rear wheel. That process works great. Just a LOT of stuff to remove on an Interstate to get it all done.
While I had the trunk, bags, bag rails, rear fender and the gas tank off I also installed the Standard/Tourer tail light assembly with the two Standard/Tourer wiring harnesses. All but one wire is plug and play. I just had to jump the Green/Yel brake wire to the trunks Green/Red brake light wire and everything works great. Installing the BigBF Quad horn kit was more difficult than I wanted but my wife helped. Her smaller hands worked great. At 61 years young, she still crawled under the Interstate with me. She's an awesome woman that's for sure. The Big BF quad horns really do sound great on the big Interstate. I'm really glad I bought them. I just wish I would have pought them at Inzane last year when they would have included installation.
I have the back end of the bike nearly back together but am having a difficult time wanting to remove the airbox and stuff to do the de-smog and install the Dan Marc. Plus I still want to install the Audiovox cruise control and check my steering head nut. My timing stinks as these are Fall/Winter things more than the beautiful Spring we're having now. The top bushing for the rear shocks are bad as well so I ordered the 'green VTX" ones posted here on the Tech Forum. Perhaps those worn bushings contribute to the 40mph to 50mph head shake I get at times.
Without the great folks that have and continue to post helpful instructions on this forum, owning a Valkyrie could be a task. As it is, there's a treasure of information here.
Thank You!!!
Mark
