I bought a 12" flexible antenna at Autozone. Had to make an adapter to fit the mount on my IS. Works fine.

I met a guy in TN last year on an 1800 Wing.  He had a shorty for both the radio and CB and said he had great reception.  His riding buddy agreed.  He said that he got them on fleabay.  I've searched, but haven't had any luck.  I'd like to replace both of mine.  It looked good.
I hope someone can point us in the right direction.

Only problem with them is they tend to droop or lay over

Try a reputable Auto Radio repair shop.

The one I've used since  God only knows when has them.    Don't know about for the radio, but I know he had them a couple of years ago for the CB.

PS: Do you have a Truck stop close by that has a radio repair shop.   They might have one.

I got one fron a local cb shop for my super valk. Its called the fire stick. I hooked it up to my radio and works great. Its either 24 or 36 inches but fat so there is hardly any sway in the wind. I mounted it on the inside of my right saddlebag. Thinking about getting another one for the left bag for the cb. This one works on either am fm radio or cb. It also has a tunning screw on the top for the cb.

I got a 12 in rubber one from autozone mounted it low between the fender and the saddle bag. It's black and my bags and fender are also black you don't even see it. Works great for am/fm. I don't have a cb.

+1 on autozone.  Mine is not flex, but is a 18" long black unit.  It came with all the adapters needed.
I think it was $11 bucks out the door last spring.
