Took off late morning to run north and see new roads in the area. Took 92 to 11 North. Saw this car  on 92. No markings ( Rolls ? )

The Red Buds were popping out in force everywhere. A sure sign of spring.

11 heading north was a beautiful road except for the frequent stop for tree trimmers. Probably got stopped 4 different times as they were cleaning the roadsides.

Worked my way up 11 to Natural Bridge turned around and headed south on 11 to catch 587 south which was a SPECTACULAR road that wound for miles to 421 south. This was my favorite road of the day. Caught 80 west to London and 75 south to home in Willamsburg. Around mile marker 46 on 75 is where a Tornado had touched down a few weeks ago. These pics were a couple weeks after and things had already been cleaned up for the most part, but shows some of the destruction that touched peoples lives.

And a final shot of the bike on 587

All in all a good clear the head ride. Hope everyones getting theirs in.  cooldude

Thought it was an inline 6 but quess if I looked closer I'd see a 12 cylinder.  cooldude

It's so green, that's a color we only see in pine forests or after a rain.

Someone here should know what kind of car that was.

Thanks for sharing!

Its a Jag and a straight 6 and Anvil no 63 Roller came with a v12. The new ones do but not the old ones like in the pic. It was usually either a 6 or 8 but the 8 was like 512 cubic inches.

YEAH ANVIL!  YOU'RE SUCH AN IDIOT!   Cheesy Grin uglystupid2

I wasn't 100% sure it's a rolls, the front bumper doesn't look right.  but i do question it being a Jag.

The XK's were a 2 seat roadster. The Jag Mark series (I or II) were a 4 door sedan. It's an early 50's Jag sedan. The engine is their standard dual overhead cam inline 6. What a shame that it sits rotting away.

I also think it is an older Jag.  The xke was the 2 seater, think they shared the same inline 6 dual overhead cam motors.

It is a jag an that is a 3.8 dual overhead cam 6 cylinder engine. How do I know? I had a 63 jag xke an rebuilt the engine myself.I had to become an expert because I couldn't afford to have a mechanic work on it.The v 12s didn't come out until the late 60s or early 70s.

Another thing too bad you could not get that car they are valuable classics restored, even the engine is worth some money if only for parts.
