Back in the 80's I drove a 82 CX500 loved the bike.
I wanted another and a few years back I found the CX500 that I ready wanted back then but I didn't have the money for it.

Nice Romeo.

Does anyone make "real" clip on handlebars anymore?

Our local honda dealer has one of these that has never been titled on display upstairs in the showroom.  They also have some old wings and classic honda's on display as well.....not a bad shop actually.

That's real nice.  My dad has a '78 CB750 sitting in his shed for the past 18 years that I've been thinking about getting out for a project just like yours.  He parked it in 1994 when he had some electrical problems with it after it got tipped over in the driveway...he thinks it pinched some wires near the forks.  Anyways, he never fixed it.  Instead he bought a '95 Wing and really never touched the 750 again.  It is in pretty rough shape...needs alot of polish and has a bit of rust and lots dirt and so-on.  I mentioned it to him and he said...go get it.  I actually think he'd like to see it run again.

My biggest regret was selling my 1989 GB500 "cafe racer" style bike.  But, I couldn't have two bikes, so I traded it for a brand new 91 Yammy FJ1200 back in 93.  I couldn't tour on it, and it lacked power, but it was the most enjoyable motorcycle I have ever ridden.  60 mile trips only (not a comfortable bike, but what a looker!).  This one isn't mine.  Regrettably, I never took a picture of it.

My wife's second bike was a GL500. I wanted to bob it because I love the transverse engine. Unfortunately it looked too good to dismantle. Perhaps one day I'll find one with promise and not completely complete. I aspire to a lot of projects, so we'll see.

That's funny  - for the last 2 weeks or so, I keep seeing a cx500 someone stripped down very similar to the UK one.  Can't stop rubbernecking every time it goes by.
