Hi everyone, I've replaced the front pads, but I'm not happy with the feel of the front brake lever.
Should it be really hard? I bled the brakes a few times, but I can pull the lever to almost 3/4 of an inch from the grip and the tire will not lock up. The front brakes don't seem to have good stopping power. Should I be able to pull the lever that much or should it be firmer? Any info on this matter?
Thanks

Try this: Get a Mity Vac and pull all the fluid out. Clean the reservoir and refill with alcohol. Pull that through both front brake lines. Pull more air through to dry most of it. Refill with Valvoline DOT3/4 synthetic. Bleed and have a nice day.

What work did you do ?? Did you just replace the pads or also the fluid ?? If you changed fluid then you could very well have air in the system.. If you just swapped the pads then the pads will probably have to wear a bit to fit the rotors.. Do the rotors show many wear marks/grooves  ??
