...how much is a set typically worth? They're in great condition and by unmolested I mean 100% factory intact.

The reason why I ask is because Special Ed wants to put Cobras on his Valk and he wants to offset some of the cost by selling the stockers.

Anvil,

I think I paid $325 for a complete and unmolested set from an Interstate. I didn't need them I just knew they were getting hard to find  complete and in "unmolested" condition. The PO let the choke on too long as the header pipes have some blue on them. My oem Interstate pipes had the piggies cut by the PO but sound fine to me. The extra set I bought are resting comfortably in the rafters of my shed.

If Secial Ed is a friend, you should caution himabout selling his oem pipes too quickly. Te 6 into 6 is pretty loud and some people tend to go back to the stock pipes.

All the best,

Mark

Well he rides with me (I have Cobras) and rides my bike all the time. He hates the stockers so I'm not real worried about that. Although I suggested trying cutting and drilling first, but then he decreases the stock pipe's value.

I want to get rid of my 6-6 I think they are Brothers, the slash cuts are to the side instead of straight back.  They were on the bike when I bought it. They are not 100%, scratches and that kinda stuff.  I have seen good stockers go 350-700. Depends on the condition and how much of the add ons are included. You know, the sheilds and all.

You looking to buy them from him or sell them for him?   What's the price he is willing to let them go for?  I would think $500.00 in great shape would be fair.  I agree with the post above about some people wanting to go back after they see how loud those aftermarkets are.... so maybe hold on to them for a little while at least.
