It's the same ol story. Cage driver with his head up his a$$.

But reading the comments posted at the end of the articles shows how some people think.
Here's a quote from one that really makes my blood boil.
"I think idiots who buy motorcycles are putting there selves
at risk so yall are signing your own death notes that's how I feel cause
they think they own the roads".

As a matter of fact: I do own the roads (by the fact that I pay the same road use taxes as anyone).

There but for the Grace of God go I.

It is terrible.

I hope I never do anyting that dumb.

As hit a person riding a motorcycle. But it could concievably happen.

The worst part is the part of the stroy that said this.

Finney was transported by EMS to Palmetto Richland Hospital and pronounced dead at 7:09pm.  An autopsy revealed he died from trauma from the collision.  Finney was not wearing a helmet

Well when he left he was not wearing a truck either.

But after the truck used him as a hood ornament.

He lost. How tragic.

I happen to really own my road...  cooldude  I can't believe the way some people think.  They probably see one rider doing something stupid and think we all do the same.  Blinders on.
There are many in cages that do stupid things as well.  Does it make all cagers stupid??/  I think not... Since we are all cagers as well as riders.

I'm glad to read the the driver of the truck was charged, but it was not on a public roadway. Rather it was on "private property", thus the charges might not have the same "teeth".

The defence might argue the the driver had no malice towards the motorcyclist and that it was nothing more than a temporary lapse in judgement. That might get a reduced charge for the defendant.

But my assesment is: "KILL A BIKER, GO TO JAIL,...FOR LIFE,...NO EXCUSES"
