River and I will be headin' over that way shortly before lunch so as to hit the Planet Houston area well before the afternoon rush hour (only an hour? what a joke!).  She'll be in a cage due to recent ankle surgery, but it's all good: someone's gotta carry the luggage and adult beverages Roll Eyes.  We'll probably stop by the HoJo first just to make sure we've got a bed to crawl into after the opening night's festivities.  At the moment, not planning to do anything noteworthy as far as the trip over: straight down I-10.  Yes, boring, but relatively safe.

Anyone got the inside track on what the weather's supposed to be like this weekend?  San Antonio is showing scattered showers Thursday and Friday, but I've got rain gear if needed uglystupid2.

Leaving Friday afternoon from Driftwood rain or shine.

Rain just means less bugs on the windshield!

HEAVY fog in the San Antonio area this morning.  Could barely see the school bus 100' from my front door: marker lights were the only things visible.  Haven't been outside since roughly 0800, but am banking on conditions clearing before noon departure.  Rain suit will be packed, regardless.

Old technology in effect for this ride (no GPS): Google maps printed cooldude.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!
