great report, i wouldn't be sleeping for a week before leaving on a trip like that due to excitement.

What's funny is I asked.

There is a mountain just north of town that looks like rabbit ears (no surprise it's called Rabbit Ear mountain) and early travelers on the Santa Fe trail used it to find their way. This was a Mexican restaurant and the rabbit ears was a play on red and green chilies.

The New Mexico Tourism Department made up a thing called the "Green Chilie Cheese Burger Trail" it's made up of restaurants around the state that make good green chilie cheese burgers--http://www.newmexico.org/greenchilecheeseburger/ --they told me they were on the list, so I had a burger.
