When it it a civil discussion? Meanwhile a few other threads that have degraded into personal attacks are left open? This place makes no sense.

Boxer rebellion, the Holy Child. They all pay their rent.
But none together can testify to the rhythm of a road well bent.
Saddles and zip codes, passports and gates, the Jones' keep.
In August the water is trickling, in April it's furious deep.

P.S. According to the FBI only 70% of race based hate crimes are white on black. So no, white people are NOT the only ones who can commit them.

I was wondering the same thing. There are currently open threads with similar content. There have been way worse threads left open. WTH?

Because it appeared to be degenerating into a white versus black outrage session. Because the original post asked why there was no outrage when at the time of the crime and trial there was plenty of outrage. Because it was poised to bring out racially motivated posts that would poke at the boundaries and eventually roll right over them.
Because I don't have time to deal with it right now.
Oh, as to the name-calling threads that haven't been locked, how many have you reported? I'm behind and there obviously are threads I haven't yet seen.
If one of the other moderators has the time and inclination to deal with that thread, they have the ability to unlock it.
