Converted my rear turnsignals to 1157 to use as stop/tail/turn due to the shaved taillight on my fender. Using Red LED bulbs they flash fast with the stock flasher, and with the electronic flasher the hoppy converter isn't happy. The instructions say its limited to 2 amps per side.  Does an 1157 bulb fall in under 2 amps??  I tired to figure it out but with all the adding and multiplying all I end up with is an answer of : Chair???  TIA

I have the same conversion and have no problems. I use clear bulbs with red lenses. Stock flasher. Might you have reversed the filament wiring in the socket??

Doubt its mis wired, works fine with the stock flasher, but very dim with the electronic one. Will switch to 1157 and paint the clear lenses. Thanks

Try either a variable load electronic flasher or a heavy duty regular one.
