Need Good Valkyrie Mechanic
«
on:

God Morning. I just purchased another Valkyrie that has not be started in 7 years. It starts and runs like *&*(&.
Anyone know of a good Valkyrie Mechanic in northwest ohio or southeast michigan area? I am sure the carbs need to be re done.
May within a 2 3 hour drive from Toledo Ohio.
Thanks for your help.

John,
If the bike starts and runs, how about putting fresh gas into the tank and put about a third of a bottle of "Techron" to clean out the carbs?
That could be your fitrst course of action before paying someone to work on it.

+1 on what Momz says, Fresh gas, techron, and a long slow ride with several stops to soak for 30-45 mins. Then more fresh gas and techron, leave it sit overnight. Momz is closer to you, but if you still need help, we're a phone call away.

I'd put the entire bottle in there with a tank of fresh gas. If it'll ride, take it for a ride and keep it under 2000 rpm's for most of that tank.
