Great tune. Even if Steve Earle is out of his mind.  Wink

Boxer rebellion, the Holy Child. They all pay their rent.
But none together can testify to the rhythm of a road well bent.
Saddles and zip codes, passports and gates, the Jones' keep.
In August the water is trickling, in April it's furious deep.

Johnson County is Mountain City, Tennessee alot folks that attended the two InZane's in Johnson City will remember this town it's also where Hwy 421  " The Snake " is located....I saw him in a honky-tonk down in Nashville in the early 80's he's also on the HBO show The Wire.

Now Daddy ran the whiskey in a big block Dodge
Bought it at an auction at the Mason's Lodge
Johnson County Sheriff painted on the side
Just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside
Well him and my uncle tore that engine down
I still remember that rumblin' sound

Cool! I never put that together.  421 is awesome. Actually, when I found this on U tube was the first time I'd heard this song when it wasn't being played live in somebody's field.  Smiley
