Found a local tailor who can sow liners into jeans.

Depending on material cost it could be cheaper than buying ready made.

Plus I get to use the jean make I like.

Depends how big yer gut is and how many pairs of big gut jeans you have hanging that normally don't get worn.

I did a search and came up with the same kind of results. Those are all pretty much for laying up into a mold

Anyone can sew Kevlar. Cutting it is a serious PITA however and requires special scissors and blades. Don't bother. Just buy it already made.

There really is very little practical difference between "structural" Kevlar and textile kevlar. It's all about weave tightness and orientation.

The last time I was at Fast Company in Hickory, NC they were saying they were having trouble getting Kevlar since the military and police were buying more than ever. They're still there so I suppose they figured it out.

If I could buy it in bulk and cut it, I'd line all of my dress pants. Never hurts to be prepared.

Just a follow up...I took my own advice and bought a pair of the "Slider" jeans...not bad...very nice in the area of a slide and the overall thickness of the jeans is on compare w/ Harley jeans which in my opinon are the best jeans made all though over priced!

Draggin' Jeans have a store nearby with seconds at a reduced price. I could use a new pair now that I'm typing about it. Hmmm. I may have to ride up there and check out the selection.
