Hickory nc

« on: April 01, 2012, 04:43:31 PM »

Went riding with a friend in the Morganton Marion and Spruce pine area today. he was riding
a honda silverwing. While on fish hatchery road in Morganton nc (Tight and curvy road) a
group of 6 sport bikes came up behind us very quickly. I was leading on the valk. We were
just cruising around 35 or so when they passed us. when the last one passed I couldnt help
but seeing if i could catch him. So I cracked the whip on the black beast. Caught him and rode his rear for about 3 miles with several looks from his mirror to see if i was still there. I believe he was surprised
That a big bike like the valk could keep up with him. That made the ride for me.

The moral to this story don't judge a book by it's cover the valk is one of (if not the best) handling
bike I've ever rode! But everybody here already know's that i'm sure.

+1 - until you get a ticket for speeding - not worth it to me to catch up to some idiot flying by.  With my luck I would be the one getting a ticket.  Now, if some cycle is putzing along 55 mph in a 55 mph zone on the rural hwys., I am sure going to blow by them because as Sammy Haggar has said, 'I can't drive 55'.  Cool
