We went to Britman's car show in the morning and decided to go for a ride to take advantage of an absolutely perfect day for riding.

Since it was just me and Duf we were setting a pretty good pace and passing anyone who held us back.

We came up out of Dahlonega Ga. on U.S. 129 over Blood Mountain, across Richard Russell Parkway and then headed north on U.S. 17/75 towards Hiawassee.

We were flying up over the mountain and I had just double yellow line passed a car when I heard a siren and saw blue lights in my rear view mirror.

No mystery here, I did it, I knew it, no need to deny it.  I thought he was pulling  me for the pass but he said he clocked me doing 63 in a 35mph zone.  It turns to 45 right where he was sitting.

Cop was great...really nice guy.  A U.S. National Park Ranger.  He forgot about the pass and only wrote us up for 59 in a 45 mph zone.  In Georgia...anything less than 15 mph over the speed limit carries no points against your license or insurance.

Charlene's got a mind of her own and when she wants to go there's no holding her back.

Oh well....the price of fun! police

What trouble did Duffy get  into?   Smiley

Man, I’m jealous.  I spent some time on those roads two weeks ago.  Now, back up here, it’s cold and rainy. Sad Sad

The car show was not one of the best.

Too man "Fast & Furious" cars for my liking. Seeing 30 Acura's lined up doesn't get me feeling warm and fuzzy.

I too went for a short dash about but home early for an appointment with a lawn mower.

Not sure if I should admit this but this is the fourth or fifth ticket I've gotten on the bike in the last eight years.....and I still have no points against my license or insurance.

Basically, my driving record is clean.
