Thinking of painting the black plastic meter panel side of the fairing on my Interstate. My bike is blue & silver and I am thinking of paint it the silver color. If anyone has done this do you have pics you could post?

I like that idea. Also would like to smoth it out before paint. I always said the dash remindes me of a 1965 model car...

I think you would want a flat or satin paint.......... no need for reflection at that location.

The little anodized aluminum bezel around the IS idiot lights drove me crazy.  So I carefully peeled it off (it is paper thin and easy to bend/kink) and had it powder coated black (with multicolor subtle metalflake)(black bike).   Now the one on my other bike has all the clear coat peeling off.

When the sun is just right can't see how fast I'm going and it reflects off the speedo cover into my eyes, very distractive. tickedoff

I recon I will my keep 65 mustang dash and not get blinded by the reflection... Angry

I agree, the Harley Screamin Eagle dash paint matching the outer fairing sure looks good. That's why I was wondering if anyone here has tried it on the Interstate. My factory black plastic just looks boring and unfinished. Undecided
