This was last week. It was somewhere around 80 degrees that day, also. Our trees are well over a month ahead now. It's nice to have winter gone, but it's playing hell on the fruit farmers.

It was taken in Coopersville, Mi. They have been trying to restore the train system that went from there to Grand Rapids for quite a few years now. I was up there to help my boss load a cabinet in his truck. When I went by the yard they had their switcher and a flat car sitting out, so I stopped to snap a picture.

Middle School has a plant sales every year.     This was the 1st weekend they were open.  Business was vicious.

Parking lot is gravel, and this is an abandon street.    Tall grass only gets cut when they can use a sickle bar.  LOL

Mom rode up but walked home with 3 plants and I had one in the Bitch seat.   We only live down that street about 2 1/2 blocks.   Street used to go straight through, but the Golf Course bought 13 acres of this ground and that ended the street at the fence by the 12th hole.

Question.   Those fender foot steps, are they as good as in the older days they were used to get into the rumble seat.   I used to ride in the rumble seat of grandpa's car.  Get to acting up, he would pull over, stop get out, take me out of the rumble seat and whip my arse with his belt.   He was a very strict old fart, I loved him to death however, and once you got an arse whompin from him you no forgot it and why you got it.

Looks like you would end up setting back wards.   LOL.    I do like those rumble seat steps however.

R J,

Those are actually fender racks to tie down packages, over-night bags or other such things. They kinda take the place of the luggage rack most Valks (and other motorcycles) have behind the sissy bar.

Being that the fenders are made out of fiberglass, I wouldn't want to chance having someone put their full weight on the fender for fear of it cracking. But I can see how one might think that's what they're there for.  The racks them selves are very sturdy and if they were mounted on steel fenders, they could definitely be used for steps as well! Wink

Not as pretty a locale for a picture as some on here... but at least The Beast is nice and clean after washing off  the bugs and grime accumulated from a ride down to Key West.
