Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

I have a perfectly good IS tank with a damaged fill spout and was wondering if anyone has ever done a flush mount pop up cap.
I thought I could paint it black and also loose the reflection in my oversized windscreen.

Thanks,

Glenn
Ps. I did a search and found nothing.

No, I have not done this... Dunno any one who has. Your best bet is to sell me the tank!   Roll Eyes Cry Wink

Only one I've seen was in the NW, around Washington or Oregon I believe. I'm drawing a blank as to the name just now but it looked real good. Would do it myself if not for the cost, has a high "cool factor" in appearance.

You're right CA, just drew a blank on the name. All I could do was picture his bike in my addled mind.

Thanks, I'll try the archives.

I looked in the Archives last night using Gary Eckermann, no post.
Then tried shockbushing Gary, no post.

Try your search using the name Pruor. I believe that's the spelling Gary used. He change his handle a couple of years ago. I think it refers to a Norse god.

just was going to post about that John. This is how he spelled it, Þrúðr, I copied and pasted like that. over 4k posts came up with his handle.

this is a post and pic of his tank and he talks about it doing it.

Thanks CA!

As always this is a great site for Valkyrie support!

I really like the look, but I'm not so sure my TIG skills are there!
I have a light duty TIG/plasma/stick welder that I have never used (I bought it for the plasma cutter(I love the plama cutter)). This might be the right time to give it a shot.

Thanks again.
