Just passing the info incase anyone wanted to do a test ride.  The Can Am people will be at North Texas Yamaha in Lewisville on May 3rd for a demo.  If its like the last one we went to a few years ago, they will have a small training course for people who don't have a license, and also have about a 15 minute ride for those who do.  Its better than going to a dealership and asking for a test ride, cause there is very little sales pressure as its independent of the dealership.  FYI the dealership has moved in the last month.  They are now a little south of I35 and 121 Business on the east side of the access road.

We will likely show up after work.

I don't know of the times.  The mailer I got wasn't that specific.  I hope so at least, cause it will prolly be at least 6pm before we can make it.  If someone calls the dealership, they might know, please post the info.

They said it would be from 12 Noon to 6pm.

They are located next the Huffines, northbound 35 service road, right after Business 121.

Riding the Spyder is different from a 2 wheeled bike....  took me about 15 mins to get used to it.. but it is a blast!  No counter steer... turn the bar the way ya wanna go... and pull the bar into the turn and lean over the bar as ya pull it to ya...Imagine a 130 MPH 4 wheeler.... that handles well!!!!!.This will help keep you centered on the bike!  It does not lean, so you need to.
FB was really carving up the twisties on her Spyder in the Ozarks this past week!!!! cooldude cooldude

Just completed my 20 min ride.

Basically good engine acceleration for that type of machine.

I did the "semi-auto" and shiting was real smooth.

The instrumentation was real nice also.

Felt very much like riding a Quad.

Too small for me though. I'm 6'3".

But I think anyone under 6' would enjoy it.

I guess I'll stick with my Valk.   Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

We went.  By the time we got there at 5:20 they were already putting stuff away.  The last riders came in at 5:30.  Timbo and Mrs Timbo (planecrazygal) showed up around then.  We had talked the Yamaha people into letting Hollyday, Timbo, and planecrazygal ride a couple of theirs for about 10 minutes.  Disco and Valkpilot also showed up but was just visiting.  At one point there were 4 Valks in the parking lot!
