Hey guys,

I hate to admit this to you all but I may not be the only one out there. On Friday I changed the coolant filling the girl back up with exactly what was drained out of the bottle and engine. I must admit here that i always just removed the screw holdering the bottle in placed and tilted the bottle forward dumping the contents into a large measuring cup and then remounting it. I filled the radiator and then filled the bottle to the line. I fired her up, let her warm up and took a little run down the road and back home. After about 30 minutes sitting in the garage I noticed an anti-freeze drip coming off the exhaust under the bottle location. Removed the side cover to find the leak was at the hose connection to the bottom of the bottle and the level in the bottle never rose.

I poured out the anti-freeze and removed the bottle disconnecting the hose where the leak was. The hose from the radiator cap was open, the lower hose connection to the bottle was never drilled out. This bottle was the original on this 97 and the second time I changed the fluid. Normally I never fill the rad completely,  but this time I did, all the way up to the cap.

This could not possibly be the only bottle that Honda let go out not not open to the overflow bottle.
