unless u are modifying the air box and the exhaust, u don't need a jet kit. first try opening up your idle mixture screws. any pilot jet is good up to 4 turns out, if u need more than that, then next size PJ is required. With opening up the screws u can also shim the needles.

Factorypro kit is the most complete kit includes main jets. other kits are just needle kits and are the richest of all needles avail, no main jets.

When you have your intake tubes off, it would be a good time to pull your pilot screws and clean that passage and install new O-rings on the pilot screws. Redeye also has the pilot screw O-rings made of Viton. Turn you pilots out 2.25 turns. Once you have her buttoned up, top your hard work off with carburetor synchronization. I bet she'll just purrrrrr!   Grin

Ordered the tool from Redeye..

Looked on here and couldn't find it, but is there a guide to setting the pilot jets...

Like which way to turn to set to zero and the which way to turn to correct-2-2.5 turns to set?

Any other hints or tricks?

You can download the service manual here and it covers it all.

You turn your pilots in clockwise to where they just lightly seat. Don't crank on them, you may damage them. Then turn them counter clockwise to the number of turns your looking for. It helps me to place the D tool on the pilot head then make a visual mark on it with a Sharpie so I can count the revolutions based on that mark's position.  Wink
