Had to take the fuel line off my Std. because it had developed a hole and was leaking bad.  Bought an OEM fuel line and had to take the air box off to replace it.  Got it back together last night and started it today.  It's not running right, almost like a cylinder isn't firing.  Full choke gives me only about 1200 rpm and no choke is about 550-600 rpms.  If I didn't seat one of the air box tubes correctly on a carb, would that give me those symptoms?

If it was running good before you took the airbox off, must have been something that happened during the process of re-installation.  Check that the vacuum line is still connected between cylinder #6 intake and the right side of the petcock with no holes in the line.  Also the tank vent line on the rear could have gotten kinked.

Yes, it could.  Get a small mirror that you can use to look at the back of those tubes.  I have one that is on a swivel on the end of a metal rod and it works great.  It is really easy to get one of those tubes folded under a bit on the underside where you cannot see it without a mirror.  Also, check to be sure you got the tubes back on the air box from the PAIR control and the crankcase breather.

If you have changed out all the fuel lines, you must have made contact with a few vacuum lines. Most likely one or more now has a leak it in it. Plan on changing them all out, or do a desmog.
