My avon is worn out on the front of my 97.  I have a Dunlop D404 in 130-90/17.  Anyone have experience with this rear tire on the front?  Opinions?

I have a General Altimax on the rear.

I've still got the D404F  on mine that I put on fresh for gotf last year, that was 19000 miles ago.  Is a stock sized front tire though, 150/80B/17  Hoser.  cooldude Got a pic of a double darkside shinko 712 also, think it's a 150/17, 62 bux.  Say it on MC warehouse

I just put on the exact tire on the front about a week or two ago. Also have the exact tire on the rear.  This is the second General Alti-max for me.  I got 30,000 miles on the first General. Looked like it had several more miles to it, but it said "replace tire" and I had the back end off, so I replaced it. So far,  I haven't noticed any real difference with the "rear" tire on the front, but I've only got 100-200 miles on it.  I did put in the dyna beads on the front tire, a first for me.  Looking forward to see how many miles I get on the new front tire. Feels just like the old bike to me. I've got 110,000 on the Valk, and tried numerous different tires, feels the same, hope it lasts longer.

I put a D404 rear on the front last spring with Dynabeads. 12,000 miles and it looks new, no cupping. Good in the rain, though it does 'sing' a bit.

I haven't noticed any "singing" from mine, but then I haven't been around a Valk quiet enough to hear any tire noise, lol.

I'm running a general altimax 205/60/16 in rear, and a battlax 130/90-17 bias up front (mounted backwards)....very pleased with both.

I'm on my 3rd D404 Front. The Bias works fine with the GYTT on the rear. Might try the D404 rear next time.
