Does anyone have the regular OEM factory lengths of brake and clutch lines on our bikes?
I have a Standard if that makes a difference.

Danny, I don't know the OEM lengths, but I do know that Galfer (and I assume others will, as well) will make you "Valkyrie lines + X inches.  Once we know which bars you're going with, we can test fit your OEM controls and make educated SWAGs as to what to order.

If you change from a standard switch housing to an Interstate you will find that you gain enough cable length to even install even the harley duce risers

Dan, I'm sure you already know this, but you'll need to consider the throttle push and pull cables, the choke cable, the clutch hydraulic line and the front brake hydraulic line.

As AtticRat said, changing to the IS control box will help, but I believe you'd have to switch to the IS cables as well.  The difference is how they exit the control box.  Actually, having the Standard cables with the right angle connected to the IS control box might provide a length advantage.

You can compare this fische for the IS http://www.hdlparts.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=148670&category=MOTORCYCLES&make=HONDA&year=2001&fveh=3475

with this fische for a Standard (or Tourer) http://www.hdlparts.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=148342&category=MOTORCYCLES&make=HONDA&year=2001&fveh=3470

The hydraulic lines will be easiest to get.   Many of the major manufacturers of lines for bikes will make them in custom lengths.

As Disco said, after we know the bar and riser setup, we can figure out what length is required.

I would go with 1" Bikini Beach Bars.
36" wide
8" center width
4.5" rise
12.75" pullback

I already have the Deuce risers with 5.5" rise and 2.5" pullback.
I started to go with the LaMonster riser with additional 1.25" pullback and add. .25" rise but, after talking with Judd on forum who has the BBB's with the LeMonsters, his arms are extended to the point that he is thinking about going to the Deuce for more pullback (comfort). He re-routed cables and was able to stay with stock.
I would stay with what I've got (stock bars & deuce risers which are comfortable) instead of losing much needed pullback with LeMonsters which would create more back and shoulder pain.
As I've stated before, the BBB's with sufficient pullback are really cool looking and very comfortable. I had them on my previous bike.
I am guessing that I would need 2 -3" more cable lengths for my application but just don't know.

Thanks, I am not very adept at looking at a drawing and being able to figure out much at all. You'll have to help me there.

I got Galfer brake and clutch lines from Pahnit some time ago on sale (buy front, get back free). I called and talked to rep at Pashnit and he was very helpful selecting length.  Call and speak to them with info on risers, etc and I am sure he can let you know any extra length you need.

Thanks to BigMAC (SoCal VRCC) for installing mine a few days ago with me offering moral support.  cooldude cooldude
