that I bought off of Ebay.  It says it is for the Valkyrie and will work, but only if you reverse the large wires.  The battery input on the OEM is on the right, and the replacement it is on the left.  In order to make it work you need to reverse them and Honda built the connectors such that you could not put them on backwards, so you have to elongate the holes in the connector to reverse them.  Also they are closer to shorting because of the shape of the battery lead and I put a couple of layers of tape on it to make sure no short.
No. 2, just did a desmog and cleanup on a bike that had popping on decel.  The carbs were all pretty clean, but the intake o-rings were leaking and I think that the main problem was the small hoses on each carb to the cut valves.  Each of them looked o.k. at first glance, but were cracked on the ends to the point that if you closed the hole in the end and forced air through the hose from the other end, air was coming from the cracks around the center hole.  Maybe my description was not the best, but check those little hoses for deterioration.  This was not allowing the cut valves to do their job.

Is this what you bought off of evil bay?

If so, it is for a older model Gold Wing and you do not have to enlarge the opening when ya change out the wire.     Ya just run a small screw driver tip down beside the spade on the clip side and pull, stick it the correct hole till you hear A click.  It is seated.

If this is not the part #, you got screwed, just to put it politely.

This is the little screw driver I use to change the wire around.

but that isn't the part I am referencing.  The actual relay assembly that is activated by the wiring that you pictured is what I replaced.

Why buy something that needs modification when an original replacement part is available.

Especially so when referring to electrical component parts.

I don't think you're really saving anything using non-standard parts.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.
