I told him basically the same thing RJ..............3 wires, 3 connectors, and a red thing..........he said I wasn't much help!

It appears to be one of those vibrators or buzzers(Blinker Buddy?) attached to the turn signals as a reminder to shut them off. They're often mounted under or in the seat so you can feel them on your butt. Just attach one of the red wires to 12v and ground the single black one, I'll bet it will either buzz or vibrate. What you do with it after that....your call!  Evil

Looks like the old style flux capacitor. I had one on a Delorean.

Traction control? I've heard they can be really small, all they do is is measure rpm climb and then cut timing. Small and easy to hide that's why iginition systems on stock cars are on top of the dash so they're easy to spot.

But I doubt it.
