Hi,  anyone have suggestions on getting the old screen  out of the tank,  I am replacing my original petcock with a pingel.   It is not budging when I try to pull it out and it is hard getting a grip on it.

Use a pin or a large needle to scribe around the base of the filter......should be able to break its hold on the tank then grap the edge with a needle nose plier and out it should come like butter

I used a punch about the same size as the inside of the screen. Stick the punch up in there, then you can get a good grip on the end of it with some vise grips. Got the idea from someone on here..Forget who? Mine was stuck in there pretty good.

Thanks for the suggestions and confidence.  Came out after my fear of damaging something important  went away.   That pingel petcock is much nicer now that that plastic knob.
