I took the bike out to the grass, jacked the rear wheel off the ground, and had to
run it around two or three times pumping water on it from a spray bottle before I found
the leak. There's nothing I can see that caused it, no nail sticking out. I hope there's
nothing inside.

1,500 miles is just too soon to go through the whole taking it off
and patching it from the inside business, I'm going to try the
Ride-On magic bullet.

I ordered two 8oz bottles from the local shop today, I plan to yank off
the weights and put in the Ride-On like the directions say...

I once picked up TWO screws in a rear Avon that had 200 miles on it...I plugged both holes after removing the screws, added Ride-on, and rode it for 9,000 more miles.......YMMV.....as Willow would agree... cooldude

I'm a big believer in Ride-on.

I just don't know if it's a marketing scam warning users not to use "auto formula" in motorcycle tires, or if there is some technological reason.....

"Auto formula" ride-on is alot cheaper.  Really it matters not to me, I run a car tire anyway.  I'll use the auto formula regardless.

Stanley and Fudd... I'm glad you've had good luck with it...

"Auto formula" ride-on is alot cheaper.

I paid about $31.00 for two 8oz bottles... it should be in Thursday or Friday...

M180/70-16  calls for 11oz as I read the Ride-On dosage table...

If its cracking in the treads get a replacement Avon (if its an avon)

Should be entitled to a new tire

I once got full credit on a Metzler that cupped like crazy at 6000 miles

Dont cost to try

+1 on the ride on though   You using metal valve stems?

Just a reminder, tire sealers of any kind don't work well when using Dynabeads.  FYI.

I don't want to run an unsafe tire, but I'd rather wear it off than take it off...
I have to change them every 6 or 7 K anyhow... i figured it just looked that way
in the close-up, you think it looks wrong/bad?

Yep, I use the good 90 degree metal stems, and no dynabeads...

i am one of those that has no problem plugging a tire, if its say just a nail hole but if the hole is large enough that one plug wont fix it then i will change tires..i have run plugs many times over the years and so far no problems,,
