Went to wally world today to pickup another supertech 3593A oil filter for the Valk since I was down to just one on the shelf. They don't carry them anymore. I wound up buying a Fram 6X 3593A instead since it was what they had but wasn't sure I was going to use it.

Later this evening when pulling the filter while changing the oil I ran into a small problem. The supertech which was already on my bike crushed with very little pressure under the oil filter wrench. Then the body of it twisted 1/4 around before the base broke loose. It wasn't overly tight either. All I can figure is they are making the body of the filter out of cheaper and/or thinner steel. I put the Fram on it and left the other ST on the shelf. Not sure if I'm gonna use it or not now. With metal that is that weak I'm worried about the housing being punctured by a rock.

I got on Fram's website and the specifications and bypass look to be OK. I guess time will tell.
