New Year was not the same for many of us when he stopped hosting "New Year's Rockin' Eve". If you remember Dick Clark, and The American Bandstand you are getting up there too. A definite American TV icon. I really feel old now.

:'( It is sad, Sugerbear. I remember running home from school every day to see American Bandstand. Navigator actually was on American Bandstand in Philadelphia to celebrate her 16th birthday. Here's a musical dedication to him.

I remember getting home from school turning on that Crosley black and white console that dad bought and watching American Bandstand.  Dick Clark was responsible for bringing a lot of music into my life and i applaud him for that.  R I P Dick Clark and if there is a Rock and Roll heaven i hope you are THERE.

I remember where he lived in Wallingford Pa. when Banstand was in Philly. We would ride by to see if he was outside, course we never saw him.

Dick Clark ... RIP An American Icon for decades. American Bandstand... Time Square Ball Drop on New Years, etc. Had a couple of strokes in the last few years and finally took him from us. RIP Mr. Clark
