The huge Tsuyaku saddle bags are are 11" wide. IMHO, they're just as good as the "CRUISELINERS" that I installed this past week.
NOTE: The Tsuyaku manufacturer warns that their carrying max weight is 10 lbs. ???
I had them on my Valk and loved their look. Sadly, the bike laid on her side with my leg under the bag!
Given the pressure of the weight on my leg, I think any hardbag would have been damaged,
especially when you are screamin' your ass off!

At any rate, I recommend the Tsukayus.
But do NOT use the free mounting hardware they give you "free."

The mounting kit is strong, but it will promote cracking around the mounting screws and bolts.

Also, the free kit pushes them further out 'bout one to two inches, adding to the stress and bounce.

If I had them again, I would go as far as beefing them up by lining the inside wall with sheet-metal on both sides.

All said, I can see that the CRUISELINERS (twice the price) will need the same kind of reinforcement.
Knowing these now, I would have gone back to the Tsuyakus.
Here are photos of both brands mounted on my bike.https://picasaweb.google.com/103917731019176896112/HARDBAGCOMPARISON?authkey=Gv1sRgCILWyISBpsmm1AE#RIDE SAFE
