I was thinking, this could also be about my first cruiser.  A KZ1000.  But, it's about a car.  A very cool story. cooldude

Have you ever owned a car you would like to have back ?

Well, what I find very endearing is that the father's two son's went to the effort to find their dad's car and get it back for him.  I was honestly touched by the story.

cooldude Similar story - 50's Willies Jeep belonged to my Grand Father - after he passed back in the 70's one of my cousin's purchased it and did some work - but then he sold it and we thought that was that  Sad

A couple years ago - a lawyer called up one of my cousins  Cheesy said that jeep was up for sale  Shocked
Apparently my other cousin told the owner to give our family a call if he was ever to sell incase some one in the family was interested in buying  ???  As it turns out the car was in an estate, the guy died several years back and the estate took years to settle - but they found the note with the title to call the orginal family  laugh

Anyway, 2 of my cousin's got together and re-purchased - invested some money in the vehicle to get her running again - the big suprise - they did not tell the rest of the family they had done this - then on the 4th of July Family picnic  cooldude they drove down by the spring and parked it right where our Grandfather would have parked it - very suprised  coolsmiley cool .

They kept for 2 years and just sold again this year with the same stipulation  Cool

Rowdy,
Thanks for sharing that story.  Pretty cool story and very cool old Jeep.  Would love to have one.  I'm one of those folks that onced settled on something won't ever let go.  That Jeep would be a "till death do us part".   Love those old Jeeps.  Again, thanks for sharing.  Now, where's it at?  Cheesy

I'd like to have my 1st street rod back.

39 Plymouth Business Coupe.

Borrowed my Uncles car to take a trip to San Diego.
Told him if he drove it to be sure and check the oil every 50 to 75 miles.

He said I won't need it, so no worry there.

To make a long story short, he had to drive it and forgot about the oil warning.

He blew the old 6 banger, but he took it to him Maintenance shop and they stuck in a 52 or 53, Dodge Firedome Hemi.   Good running car, and was a real sleeper back in the day.
