I have a Kate Smith album redone on CD, that song is on it, It is magnificent, brings tears to your eyes. I also remember her singing it on the Ed Sullivan Show on televison when I was a kid, same effect then. Hoser

I've heard Kate Smith sing that many times and I always get gnats in my eyes. I like the unabashed patriotism also in the clip. All of this is politically incorrect today.
I'm sure that we will all hear the reasons why this song and post is not applicable today and I could answer that with a simple two words but I won't. Carl would pull my post if I did.
