Fellow Riders, Saturday, May 30th is the 5th Annual Catfish Ride!Yep it is that time of the year again for the "5th Annual Catfish Ride." I have made arrangements for McGeHee's to open up just for us. They will be closed to the public from 11:30 to 1pm. We also have a special deal on All-You-Can-Eat-Catfish, it is $15.55. This includes all you can eat catfish, fixins, drink, tax, and gratuity. If you want a burger or a steak just let me know and I will make sure they have it for you and you will get a free drink with your meal. Like last year, everyone will get a seperate check to make it easy to pay. Invite your friends and family. I am trying to get a headcount so I can make sure McGeHee's is ready for us. Ride details are below so just meet up at any of the stopping points. The main group ride will be from St Jo to McGeHee's. This ride is open to all. I started this ride as a member of the SCRC and during that time I bought an Interstated and found the VRCC so now I do this ride for everyone. Last years group pic: Staging Areas 1) Lewisville Sonic , 7:00am - KSU 7:30am 2) Chevron gas station in Denton on NE corner 380 and I-35, 7:50am - KSU 8:10am 3) St Jo in the town square. 9:00am - KSU 9:45am 4) Indian Bridge 10:00am - KSU 10:15am 5) McGeHee's Catfish in Marietta, Oklahoma. 11:30am Since this is the 5th Annual Catfish Ride, we decided to mark this occasion and hired an artist who sketched a catfish riding a motorcycle that we turned into a patch. It is a 3" round embroided patch that we will sell for $5 and 100% of the profits will benefit the kids of St Jude. Here is a picture of it: So, who is going? |

The Lewisville Sonic is at 380 E Round Grove Road in Lewisville. Round Grove Road is also known as FM 3040. If you know where the Vista Ridge Mall is in Lewisville the Sonic is about 1/2 mile west of it on Round Grove Road/FM 3040. If you need to call me I can be reached at 972-798-7151.

This year, instead of a group picture in St Jo, I am going to do a group picture at McGeHee's. Some people go straight to the restaurant so they miss out on the group picture this way they don't have to. I am currently looking for a volunteer to be our group photographer if anyone is interested please let me know.

A friend of mine in Ardmore said that Winstar Casino is having a car show this Saturday. It was suppose to take place on the 23rd but was cancelled due to weather and changed to May 30th. After lunch, you can do some gambling and check out a car show.

Wish I could join you. You guys will have a lot more fun than I will this weekend. Gotta complete a trauma rotation and since I have to do 36 hours over the weekend I'm sure I'll get to see the gunshot wounds, stabbings, auto accidents, etc. You guys just make sure I don't get to see any motorcycle accident victims (specially you guys)! Ya'll ride safe and eat a little catfish for me. L

FYI, there are two gas stations in St Jo, one is ethonal free which is the one near the square. There is a sign on the pump that I was told say there is no ethonal in their gas. Thought you might like to know.

Anyone coming from north or east want to meet Lori, Tom, Janet & me on the 289 or 380 corridor? We're thinking 7:00 - 7:15 at either the Exxon (SEC of Preston & Eldorado), the pull-off on west-bound 380 about 100 yards west of 289, or Earl's Shell Station in Crossroads (NEC of 720 & 380).
