I've had a chance to ride a lot in the last 10 days.  But warming up in the desert (> 100*) so headed up in mtns with friends.  Used armored mesh jacket, kevlar jeans and heavy boots, but did go to half helmet instead of full face.  Heading back into desert from mtns was scorching.

So driving into work today I see a guy on bike with cooler outfit.  Paper thin helmet, vented ? T shirt that seemed to have place at bottom for his belly to hang out in the cooling wind.  And some new riding shoes that looked much cooler than my boots.

Wish I could have got his pic, but couldn't get cell phone out in time.  Here is a similar pic of the ones he had on.

Oh, and he was on a nice Harley.  Grin Grin

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

You probably did 2funny 2funny.just kidding.Your right but at the same time I have ridden in the socal heat and in Az. It can be a killer.I cannot bring myself to wear all the heavy clothing.I do ride in the desert with lite surt and jeans with a half helmet. If I'm not enjoying the ride what is the point? Might as well ride the cage with air conditioning, seat belts and air bags.Ps. Doc I am leaving here this Sat.and will be in socal Tuesday.I'll call you.Art

That there harley dude is what I'd call a dumba$$. I rode last summer in 100+ temps in Az, Ca, and much cooler Or, then over here to the desert of Wa. and I wore a full face helmet, riding pants and jacket. Mesh gear works really well, add a cooling vest, and one of those gel type neck thingy's and you're good to go.
